Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property consists of one tax parcel (115.32-1-18) located at 35R Canoga Street in Auburn, NY. The site is approximately 1.40 acres in size and is surrounded generally by residential and light industrial use. The property is currently vacant wooded land adjacent to the Owasco River. According to historical research, the site has never been developed. Nearby contaminated sites have been identified; yet do not represent a significant threat to the environmental integrity of the property. Auburn Plastics Company owned the property and operated a facility west of the property, across the Owasco River. In 1968 Henry Steele obtained 35R Canoga Street and Cap Realty Corporation owned the property before the City acquired the property in 1993 due to tax foreclosure.
