Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property consists of one tax parcel (115.58-1-1) located at 151 Orchard Street, Auburn NY. The site is approximately 15.70 acres in size and is currently occupied by several vacant industrial structures. The current owner is Bombardier, which closed operations at this site in 2006. During its operation the site was considered a large quantity generator of hazardous waste. There are several spill reports associated with this property, including petroleum and Freon. Historical Research indicated that the property was improved with an industrial complex since at least 1904 when McIntosh and Seymour, a steam engine manufacturer was located on the property. Subsequent use of the site was for the manufacture of diesel locomotives (American Locomotive, ALCO/Bombardier).
