Property Highlights

The property is located at 224 Cheyenne Ave. Lame Deer, MT. The building is used as an automotive maintenance facility. A previous site investigation indicated the potential presence petroleum contaminants in the soil and groundwater beneath the facility. The Northern Cheyenne tribe wished to assess the soil and groundwater to better understand any hazards posed to the public. The Phase II included sampling soil for VOCs, SVOCs, PAHs,and the results were either below EPA screening levels or Montana Background threshold levels. The phase II sampling plan included groundwater, however, groundwater was not encountered at at 30 feet below ground surface. Based on the Phase II sampling results, no further action was recommended by the consultants at this site.

Former Use: The Lube Center property is owned by the Northern Cheyenne Tribe and leased to the maintenance shop. The property address is 224 Cheyenne Avenue, Lame Deer, Montana is located approximately 1, 200 feet south from intersection of Highway 212 and Cheyenne Avenue. The property has on structure built in the late 1980s. that is used for automobile maintenance. There is a paved area to the east of the building and an unpaved area to the north, south and west and is an undeveloped dirt and grass covered vacant lot.
