Additional Property Attributes

Property is occupied by a one-story building w/basement constructed of brick, stone and concrete block; currently used by Lyon County Community Services for meetings and offices. A concrete basketball court and paved picnic area are located to the rear of the building, the remainder of the parcel is unpaved.

Former Use: Property is located in the Comstock Historic Dist. In 1864 was developed as the Lyon County Courthouse, which burned down in 1909. Original masonry was used to construct the Dayton High School on site until late 1950s. Purchased by Lyon County in early 1980s, currently used as community center w/200 seat capacity auditorium.
