The recapping of the landfill on the 67 Melissa Street property represents an important step in the further development of Providence's Woonasquatucket River Greenway and bike path/multi-use trail. (PPF attached to QR 1, 10/1/03-12/31/03)

Former Use: The Trust for Public Land purchased the property on August 26, 1998 from Pace Enterprises, Inc, which purchased the property from Phoenix Griffin Group II, Ltd. on 1/24/91 which purchased the property from Ponagansett Realty Association, Ltd. on 6/30/88. This property was the location of a former municipal landfill.
