Additional Property Attributes

Propert is slated for redevelopment as a grocery store and office building. Additional groundwater sampling and monitoring is recommended but not performed due to limited grant funds. A vapor mitigation system should be incorporated into any new building developed on site for the entire footprint of the building

Former Use: Property was former coin and hobby shop, parking lot and dry cleaner or next to a former dry cleaner. Most contamination is from PCE. A phase I was performed in 2010 (cost unknownn). A partial phase II was performed by CVRPC. Additional GW sampling/monitoring is needed. Barre City is working with DEW developers to redevelop the site. Additional assessments may be performed by the City, CVRPC or the developer depending on available funding.
