Additional Property Attributes

The Skyline Acres property is a 30 acre former junkyard. The property was formerly littered with debris, tires, automobiles, and scrapped mobile homes, but the County removed all of the waste from the property in August and September 2011. START identified the presence of elevated metal, VOC, SVOC, and PAH concentrations in soil and subsurface soil. VOCs were identified in soil gas. Supplemental investigation in 2012 revealed minor instances of elevated metals in subsurface soil.

Former Use: The property was used for several years as a junkyard that among other activities conducted vehicle crushing. The property was deeded to Carbon County on June 2, 2009.
