Additional Property Attributes

The McAlester Armory was built by the Works Progress Administration in 1936. It wsa managed and maintained by the Oklahoma Military Department (OMD) to support the military mission of the Oklahoma Army National Guard (OKARNG). The armory building was cleaned up using State funds through DEQ's Site Cleanup Assistance Program. The building will be reused as an Emergency Management Services center. The UST was removed 12-26-91. The cleanup date used in ACRES is for the abatement of asbestos, lead-based paint, and lead dust.

Former Use: The McAlester Armory was built by the Works Progress Administration in 1936.
