Additional Property Attributes

The 5th Street Parking Property is part of a centrally located commercial area in North Platte. The EPA conducted a Phase I and Phase II TBA to determine if historical activities conducted on the site and at adjacent properties have impacted the subsurface soils and groundwater underlying the subject property. In the Phase II assessment both acetone and 2-butanon were detected in soil samples, but neither one exceeded levels established by the EPA generic risk-based screening level or NDEQ VCP remediation goal for residential soil, industrial soil, or protection of groundwater. Both acetone and 2-butanone may be manufactured or naturally occuring in the environment. They are also known to be common labratory contaminants in the analysis of VOCs and SVOCs.
