Additional Property Attributes

The subject property consists of a 1.28-acre parcel of land and is used as an automobile salvage yard. Numerous damaged vehicles are present on the subject property, as well as vehicle parts and 55-gallon drums of used automotive fluids. An unoccupied, dilapidated building is present on the southern portion of the subject property. During the Phase II assessment the contaminants found in the soil were VOCs, TPH-GRO, TEH, arsenic and lead. Only arsenic and lead exceeded NDEQ VCP RGs and may be attributable to average background concentration of soil in Gage County. Contaminants found in the groundwater that exceeded Nebraska VCP RG were primarily RCRA metals of Barium, Cadmium, Chromium, and Lead. Cadmium may be attributable to historic plating operations to the south of the subject property. VOCs were found in the groundwater, but did not exceed regulatory limits.

Former Use: Property has been used as an automobile salvage yard since approximately 1985. Prior to its current use, the subject property was residential.
