Additional Property Attributes

The site is currently occupied by an active railroad depot and surface parking lots. The railroad depot is primarily used as office space with other entities also occupying other parts of the building, including the Lincoln Station Great Hall banquet facility and the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Center. The surrounding properties to the east and south are of mixed commercial and industrial use, the area to the west of the site has historically been used as railroad yard. The Phase II TBA revealed VOCs, SVOC, PAHs, TEH as diesel and motor oil and RCRA metals in the soil. The only contaminants found above NVCP-RG in soil was one SVOC and arsenic. The groundwater contained SVOCs, PAH, TEH as diesel and RCRA metals above NVCP-RG and NDEQ regualtory limits.

Former Use: Historical sources identify the subject property as a railroad depot as far back as 1884. Property was purchased in 1988 from BNSF.
