Additional Property Attributes

The property was formerly a service station, but is now largely a gravel/concrete parking lot surrounded by open grassy areas with commercial buildings to the north and west, residential property to the east, and a vacant building to the south. Based on previous investigation at the site in 2007, underground storage tanks (USTs) are likely still present at the subject property. The Phase II TBA revealed VOCs, PAHs, TPH-DRO as motor oil and RCRA metals in the soil, as well as, RCRA metals in groundwater samples. The only contaminants that were above NVCP RGs regulations was aresenic in the soil and RCRA metals including arsenic, barium, chromium, lead and mercury in the groundwater. The elevated concentration of TPH-DRO indicates a releasefrom the UST(s) has likely occurred. Elevated concentrations of metals detected in the unfiltered sample are likely attributable to suspended sediment in the sample and are not likely representative of groundwater quality in the site area.

Former Use: The site was used as a service station until the late 1940s or early 1950s. The service station building was later used as an ice cream shop for an unknown period of time.
