Former Use: The SUIT wanted to investigate for any potential contaminants present at the Small Open Dump due to illegal dumping has occurred on the property. The land is littered with empty rusted containers, older automobile bodies, and slag material with several areas of stained soils and stressed vegetation present on the property. A tribal member has expressed interest in storing portable toilets at the Site. Prior to storing the portable toilets, the land would need to be re-graded flat. The SUIT wanted to characterize and investigate impacts to soil in order to determine if remedial action(s) would be required prior to regarding the Site for future use.
