Additional Property Attributes

The site is part of the vacant Home Lumber Yard located on the southeast corner of South Main Street and Bridge Street, a major intersection in the city of Yerington. This parcel, along with two smaller parcels, comprise the 1.62 acre Home Lumber Yard property. This parcel, which is 1.3 acres in size contains the improvements for the lumber yard. which include: a store; a lumber storage warehouse; and, storage buildings. The City of Yerington is interested in having this property redeveloped based on its location in the core of the City's business district. Since the Phase I and Phase II has been completed, the property has been rented and is being used as a retail lumber outlet. This is the only business of its type in Yerington.

Former Use: The Property was first developed as early as 1923 as a lumber, coal and supply company. Historical Sanborn maps from 1923 and 1946 show a coal storage shed located in the northeast corner of the Property. The Property operated as a lumber yard between 1923 and 2009. The Property has been used for miscellaneous storage since 2009.
