Additional Property Attributes

The property is located in a commercial area of Clarksville known for historical foundry activities. Subject property consists of 3.26 acres of land containing a single 70,000 sq ft, three-story building, the former meat packing plant. The property structure was built in 1943 and appears to undergone multiple phases of construction. The property structure is unsecured and windowless; several sources have indicated the building is frequently entered by homeless persons. Phase I lists RECs which might, upon further assessment, indicated the presence of contaminants. Future cleanup decisions would be based on the nature and extent of contamination versus proposed land uses of the property.

Former Use: The facility was owned and operated a meat packing plant by Frosty Morn Meat from 1943 until closure in 1975. It was subsequently used for various commercial purposes but is now vacant.
