Additional Property Attributes

The Kerwo School site has been of concern to the Gu-Vo Community and Gu-Vo District since the 1970s when the school was abandoned by U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). No documented Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) has been conducted to identify potential Recognized Environmental Concerns (RECs) however the building is reported to contain asbestos materials and lead-based paints throughout, including storm-damaged roofing tiles. This proposed TBA is for assistance to conduct site-specific Phase I & II ESA activities such as sampling of building materials and soils, a structural analysis, and an Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA).
