Additional Property Attributes

The Blaine county Road Department property is located on the western side of Chinook, Montana. The shop building is approximately 7,300 square feet and is located on the southern end of the parcel. The shop building is composed of a corrugated steel Quonset hut and a rectangular addition located on the east side. A Phase I ESA was initiated for the property but the site owner declined to complete the report. A Phase II ESA Sampling and Analysis plan for a building materials inspection was completed in June 2016. Phase II ESA was completed in September of 2016. Lead-based paint, PCBs, and asbestos were found in a few of the building materials. Currently, the materials are undisturbed and do not pose a threat. Should Blaine Co. decide to conduct renovations in the building in the future that would disturb these materials, proper abatement would need to take place.

Former Use: The property is owned by Blaine County. The County would like to conduct a few renovations to the shop to accommodate the Road Department. The Road Department recently moved into the property and may need to rearrange the space in order to increase its functionality.
