Additional Property Attributes

The property owner plans to redevelop the property with commercial facilities. The redevelopment of this vacant property to retail development would help with job growth and add sales tax revenue to the citys tax base.

Former Use: Prior to 1949, the Site was used as a residential/agricultural property. According to aerial photographs from the Imperial Irrigation District (IID) archives, agricultural use was discontinued on the property by 1965, at which time structures were built on the west side of the Site. The property was used primarily as an office and shop for a general construction and engineering business, which utilized heavy equipment. Currently, the Site is zoned as a light manufacturing property.
