Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Based on a review of historical information, the site appears to have consisted of vacant land from at least 1891 until 1936, at which time the site was developed with a residential-size structure and subsequently in 1945 when a commercial-size structure was built. The commercial-size structure was initially used as concrete block manufacturing facility; later, the facility was utilized as the Sherman Machine Shop and parts distributor, a welding and machine shop, and automotive repair facility, a carwash, and retail. The site's two commercial buildings are now vacant. Most recently, the northern building contained a retail shop (RadioShack), grocery store (Tienda Mexicana), former machine shop (Sherman Machine Shop), automotive repair shop (Gene's Auto Repair), used car lot and office (Gene's Used Auto Sales), and a former carwash. The southern building was a restaurant/bar.
