Additional Property Attributes

The subject property includes a 4,864-square foot, two-story, mixed use building occupied by Pound Ridge Auto Body, Town and Country Auto Repair, with vacant apartments on the second floor. The property was occupied by a gasoline fueling station from the 1940s or 1950s that closed prior to 2002. There is no significant evidence of impacts from the former USTs. There are low concentrations of TPH GRO and DRO across the subject property in soil and groundwater. Soil and groundwater associated with the eastern former dry well contain TPH DRO and GRO, BTEX, chlorinated benzene compounds, PAHs, PCBs, and metals. These compounds are consistent with the former use of the dry well as the discharge for the rinse sink in the automotive garage. Soil associated with the western dry well exceeded the NYSDEC Commercial Use SCO for barium. Detections of PCE at concentrations in soil vapor above NYSDOH AGVs suggests there is a potential for soil vapor intrusion of PCE into the building.

Former Use: Former gasoline filling station and auto body shop with historical release of petroleum to soil and groundwater. Historic Use: Gasoline and Diesel fueling station. The property is currently owned by John DiFulvio.
