Bent County would like to conduct demolition activities on Building 116 at the Ft. Lyon Facility. This TBA included an ACM survey to determine and/or refine the locations and extents of ACM at the building and visual inspections for PCBs, mercury, and mold. For this TBA project, all paint inside the building was considered LBP. Contaminants identified in the building were ACM.

Former Use: Building 116 is a vacant single story home. The home was first identified in a 1943 Veterans Administration road sealing map. Fort Lyon dates back to 1868 when it was used as a U.S. Army Fort. The Fort Lyon property has also been a TB sanatorium, VA Hospital, and correctional facility. The campus is owned by the Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration. Bent County manages the property.
