Additional Property Attributes

The property is located on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation and is 6.5 mi. south of Busby, MT. It was formerly used as a CCC camp and is currently used as camping and picnicking area. A previous site investigation indicated the potential presence of sodium arsenate. The Northern Cheyenne tribe wished to assess the soil and spring water to better understand any hazards posed to the public. The phase II sampling did not find contamination above EPA RSLs or background levels for Montana soils.

Former Use: The Site measures approximately 2,300 sq. ft.,and is located within a recreational area owned by the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. Visitors to the recreational area are seasonal, and typical visitor activities include hiking and picnicking. In the 1930s, the site was used as a civilian conservation camp.
