Drain Properties is located in the central business district in Columbus, Montana on the corner of Pike Avenue and Diamond Street. Currently, Stillwater Lumber Company leases the building from Drain Properties, LLC and two other businesses sub-lease space in the building on the subject property: Betula Creative, and MK Synchronized Solutions. The building is approximately 6,500 square feet (sf). he property historically operated as a car dealership and full service garage (formerly operated as Platinum Chevrolet, Platinum Motors, Duty Motors, and Texaco). In 1986, three 1,000-gallon steel USTs, a fuel pump island, and underground piping ceased operations. The tanks were closed in place. In 1994, the Site achieved closure status; however, was re-opened as a potential release Site in 2006 during investigation of the surrounding areas. The 2016 Phase II ESA identified sub-surface soil and groundwater contamination believed to be sourced from the on-site USTs previously closed in-place.

Former Use: EDR Envrionmental Lien and AUL search indicated that a quitclaim deed dated May 22, 2014 vested title in Drain Properties, LLC from Alan K. Drain and Amy June Drain. Previous names for this property include Plantinum Chevrolet and Duty Motor.
