Additional Property Attributes

Building 232 is a single story home. Bent County would like to conduct demolition activities on Building 232 and make the property ready for reuse. This TBA included an ACM survey to determine and/or refine the locations and extents of ACM at the building and visual inspections for PCBs, mercury, and mold. For this TBA project, all paint inside the building was considered LBP. ACM was identified in the sink insulation in the kitchen and pipe insulation in the crawl space.

Former Use: Building 232 is a single story home on the northeast end of the Fort Lyon Property. This building was found on a US Naval Hospital Map from 1921. The Fort Lyon Facility property consists of 512 acres with approx. 55 residential buildings and a large community building. Fort Lyon dates back to 1868 when it was used as a U.S. Army Fort. The Fort Lyon Facility property has also been used as a TB sanatorium, VA Hospital, and correctional facility. The campus is owned by Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration. Bent County manages the property.
