Additional Property Attributes

The property was donated to Ishpeming High School to be part of their "Geometry in Construction" program. This curriculum teaches student math concepts which they then use in completing some type of construction project. The class is currently rehabilitating the house on this property to then sell with the proceeds going to fund the next project. When this project started, it was noted that an underground storage tank was (could still be) on the property. The assessment work was conducted to determine whether there was a release from the tank or any other historical releases of contaminants on the property.

Former Use: The property has had several past commercial operations on the northern portion from at least 1892 through 1946, including: wallpaper and paint store, church lodge hall, piano and organ shop, bakery, and automotive service and painting. The auto service shop was noted to have a 178 gallon UST. No record of its removal had previously been documented. The southern portion has been residential.
