Additional Property Attributes

The property, located in Southwest Fresno, California is identified by the city as a ?catalyst brownfield property.? The property owner, Saint Rest Baptist Church, in partnership with the city, and under an EPA Brownfields Area Wide Planning grant is working to determine the best redevelopment approach for this key, corner property.

Former Use: The property is composed of two parcels. The northern parcel is vacant and partially paved. The southern parcel is developed with an approximately 4,600-square-foot warehouse with loading docks and a paved lot. The northern parcel operated as an automotive fuel and service station from the early 1930s to the early 1970s. The southern parcel was reveloped as a bakery in the early 1950s, and then converted to a meat packing facility and warehouse several years later. The on-site 4,600 square feet warehouse is split-level. Redevelopment or reuse options are currently under consideration for this property.
