Additional Property Attributes

The Site is 0.8 acre in size and contains an approximately 18,600 square foot brick building. The building was constructed in the early 1900s and formerly used as the Pismo Beach City Hall. In addition to the unused building, there are two buildings, currently occupied by the Citys Police and Fire Departments, located at the Site. The two occupied buildings are not addressed in this TBA. The Site includes an approximately 18,600-square-foot brick building which is currently not being used but could potentially be reused as a community center or library by the City of Pismo Beach.

Former Use: The City of Pismo Beach formerly operated a gasoline and diesel fuel station located in the area of the current eastern parking lot. The gasoline and diesel fuel pumping station reportedly utilized three 1,000-gallon underground storage tanks (USTs). The City discontinued use of these USTs in 1985. In 1986, the USTs and three dump truck loads of surrounding soil were removed from the property. Historical records indicate the soil removed from the property contained some contamination and was taken off-site to be remediated by aeration.
