Additional Property Attributes

The property is a homeless shelter and social services center for Austin's vulnerable population. The Salvation Army needs a federal Home Loan Bank loan in order to renovate this much-used structure. A Phase I ESA is a requirement of that loan. Future plans for the property include substantial refurbishment and replacement of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and elevator systems, replacement of finishes/materials for flooring, walls and ceilings. Additional security features will be installed. The exterior brick facade will also undergo substantial refurbishment due to some system failure. While the renovation/refurbishment of the facility will not change it's use, it will be able to serve the homeless clients in a cleaner and safer environment.
