Additional Property Attributes

The Site is approximately 2.97 acres in size and contains a single-story warehouse building which is currently utilized for commercial and light industrial purposes. The remaining portions of the lot consist of asphalt and concrete pavement. The Site is in a mixed commercial, industrial, and residential area. It is bound to the north by Market Street, to the west by undeveloped land with Euclid Avenue beyond, to the south by a railroad with residences beyond, and to the east by commercial/industrial properties.

Former Use: Historically, the property was undeveloped prior to the early 1960s. From 1965 through 1966, it was developed by Bryco Industries to its current state of improvement. The property appears to have been occupied by the Interstate Restaurant Supply Company from approximately 1965 through 1974; by Dynair Electronics, a circuit board manufacturing and assembly business, which included an Alodine process and vapor degreaser, from 1976 through 1995; and by multiple commercial and industrial business, including a meat refrigeration and storage facility, from 1995 to the present. According to the Case Closure Request, a 7,000-gallon steel underground storage tank (UST), associated piping, and fuel dispenser were removed from the subject property in 1993. Based on the Application for Permit to Abandon Underground Hazardous Materials Storage Tank Facility dated November 1984, the UST was historically known to store gasoline and was installed in 1965. During the tank removal process, heavy corrosion of the UST was observed and gasoline had visibly impacted the soil surrounding the tank.
