Additional Property Attributes

The City of Glenwood Springs and the Glenwood Springs Downtown Development Authority are collaborating to redevelop the former Decommissioned Wastewater Treatment Plant for recreational purposes. The previous operations and the adjacent and bisecting railroad lines indicated the possibility of contamination. Results of this Phase II ESA did not identify impacts associated with the wastewater treatment plant to surface soil and treatment sand-filters or from the railroad lines to surface soils. The only exceedences reported were consistent with urban soil screenings. This Phase II ESA did identify ACM, LBP, and mercury containing equipment in several of the buildings.

Former Use: The City of Glenwood Springs took ownership in 1966 and operated the wastewater treatment plant from 1978/1979 until 2012. Currently used for office space and general storage.
