Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Number of Parcels and Acreage - the subject property is limited to the footprint of four buildings. The buildings are associated with a larger 18.3 acre parcel of land consisting of the West Clay Elementary School. Standard and other historical sources were able to document that a school gymnasium (Building 1) was constructed in the 1930s or 1940s on the northern portion of the school property. Building 1 has been out of use for more than eight years. In 2010, a tornado demolished the building, however, the demolished building and associated debris remain on site. A second school building (Building 2) was constructed on the central portion of the school property between 1952 and 1960, and was historically occupied by a cafeteria. Building 2 has been out of use since at least 2010. Two residential dwellings (Buildings 3 and 4) were constructed on the southern portion of the school property between 1952 and 1960. According to the current owner, Building 3 was historical utilized as a residence and/or a school resource building, and Building 4 was historically used as a residence or rental house. Buildings 3 and 4 have been vacant since at least 2010.
