Additional Property Attributes

This address refers to the entrance of the Round Valley Indian Tribes (RVIT) road construction yard. The planned reuse of the site is for industrial and commercial use.

Former Use: Parcel 11 In 1942, the Site was used for log and lumber storage for Crawford Lumber, which operated a non-tribal mill on a parcel adjacent to Parcel 11. The mill was northwest of the intersection of Mendocino Pass and Short Creek Road. Crawford Lumber ran the mill until 1968, when it was sold to Georgia-Pacific Corporation. The sawmill operation was transferred to Louisiana Pacific Corporation in the early 1970s. Sawmill operations ceased in 1991, and the buildings and associated mill equipment from the adjacent parcel were dismantled at that time. This former mill property is currently vacant land. Parcel 32 A landing strip was located on the western boundary of Parcel 32 until the early 1970s. The landing strip was used by Crawford Lumber. Parcel 32 was previously used for storage of used tires.
