Additional Property Attributes

The Site parcel is owned by EBRPD and is known as Lone Tree Point. Investigative documents indicate that the adjacent property, the Former Joseph?s Marina property, was historically used as a dump and tar seeps have been observed at the property dating back to the 1930s. The Lone Tree Point parcel does not appear to have been used for any industrial process historically. A former oil refinery operated north of Joseph?s Marina within the area where an operating marina exists today. Former Use: According to historical aerial imaging, the Site has remained undeveloped shoreline since at least 1939. Investigative documents indicate that the adjacent Former Joseph?s Marina property and the northern portion of the Site were historically used as a dump, and tar seeps have been observed at the property dating back to the 1930s. The Former Joseph?s Marina was developed into a fishing resort in approximately 1934. The fishing resort operated until the 1990s when it was destroyed by fire. Historical aerial photographs from 1927 and 1953 show what appear to be dark pools on a portion of the surface of the Site and on the Former Joseph?s Marina property.
