Additional Property Attributes

Records indicate that the subject property was originally constructed in 1890 and was enlarged in 1897 and 1905. The exterior brickwork was reinforcement along the foundation and lower courses with decorative brick veneer in the 1950s. The social room, church parlor and kitchen were added in 1905, as well as the pipe organ. The church was utilized as such from its inception until June 2017. The church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an excellent example of Gothic Revival ecclesiastic architecture from the turn of the 20th century (National Park Service, 1994). The church is planned for reuse with the fellowship side of the building to be used as a youth center and the sanctuary for drama and musical presentations, weddings, and other appropriate events by Youth Empowerment Services .

Former Use: Property has operated as a Methodist church since its construction. The property includes the main church and the parsonage. It is currently being leased by Youth Empowerment Services.
