Additional Property Attributes

The Site was first developed between 1952 and 1972 when a metal structure was constructed in the southwestern portion of the parcel. Between 1997 and 1998, a wooden building was constructed to the west of the metal structure. An addition was added to the eastern portion of the metal structure between 1998 and 2005, and removed by 2012. Sometime between 2012 and 2016, the wooden building burned down. In 2017, the Hoopa Valley Tribe purchased the property. Since purchasing the property, the Hoopa Valley Tribe has demolished the metal structure, removed building materials and other debris, and removed an aboveground storage tank (AST) from the western portion of the property. The Site is currently vacant. It is unpaved, with the former building removed, ungated, and partially grass covered. The Site is located in the downtown business area of Hoopa. The redevelopment plan for the Site is for industrial or commercial reuse.

Former Use: Historical records indicate that the Site was first developed between 1952 and 1972 when a metal structure was constructed in the southwestern portion of the parcel. The Site was previously owned by William O. Wold, who operated the Wold Logging Company and used the property as a storage and servicing yard for the logging company�s equipment. It is unknown whether any other operations were conducted on the Site prior to the Wold Logging Company, or when operations began at the Site. Historical records indicate that by 1991 the company had been operating out of the Site for years. It is also unknown when operations ceased. In 2017, the Hoopa Valley Tribe purchased the property. Since purchasing the property, the Hoopa Valley Tribe has demolished the metal structure, removed building materials and other debris, and removed an AST from the western portion of the property.
