Additional Property Attributes

Property includes a main house built in the 1940's and is wood-d approximately 15 ft by 22 ft with an unpainted concrete block foundation and worn wood siding. Roof is wood shingles with tar roofing paper. The interior has been stripped of most materials with the exception of studs, subfloor and a few areas of drywall. Kitchen materials, flooring, windows and ceiling materials have been removed. No electrical wiring remains in the house and connections appear to be incomplete and unusable. The area is predominantly use as farmland. No asbestos was found, however, the lead-based paint found during the Phase II would need to be considered if the structure is to be demolished to determine disposal method; TCLP sampling and analyses would be recommended.

Former Use: The property has always been residential and was established as part of the Flandreau Reservation during the late 1800's to early 1900's. The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe retains ownership of the trust land.
