Additional Property Attributes

The property is comprised of two parcels of land totaling approximately 2.41 acres. The property appears to have been first developed by the 1950s with a small structure which appeared similar to a previous convenience store building; however, onsite operations during this time are unknown. By 1975, the property was developed with a gasoline station (known as the Fearless Farris Stinker Station No. 81) and the existing convenience store building. The property was equipped with one 4,000-gallon gasoline UST, two 10,000-gallon gasoline USTs, and two 10,000-gallon diesel USTs, which were installed in 1976 and removed or closed in place in 1998. A release associated with the UST operations was reported in 1998. The case has not yet been granted regulatory closure.

The property was previously owned by CJSD Holdings, Inc. The property is currently owned by the City of Wells.

Recently, the City of Wells demolished all of the structures on both parcels. The property is located in an area slated for mixed-used redevelopment. However, prior to redevelopment, the case will need to be granted regulatory closure.
