Additional Property Attributes

This site, the former Z&Z gas station, used to be a gas station. The Oklahoma City land bank, OCURA (Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority) purchased the property in 2017 after a Phase I from the Oklahoma City Brownfield Program. In July of 2020, they hired Stantech to remove the tanks on site, and the contamination levels in the removal report were high enough to trigger a release case with the OCC Petroleum Storage Tank Division. This property is currently enrolling in the OCC PSTD Indemnity Fund to undergo corrective action. When it has completed their corrective action requirements, the OCC Brownfield Program will award them a Certificate.

This property will be redeveloped as the Clara Luper Civil Rights Center, a $16 million project funded by OKC MAPS4 - https://www.okc.gov/government/maps-4/freedom-center-and-clara-luper-civil-rights-center.
