Additional Property Attributes

The Pennington Lot has been developed since at least the late 1880s. The lot has been historically occupied by residential and commercial developments. Historical operations at the Pennington Lot include the following: dwellings, grocery store, lodging, laundry, auto service stations, and restaurants. The lot has been used for parking since at least 1968 (WESTON, 2020).

The following historical facilities occupied the Pennington Lot:

Tom & Ray S. (100 North 6th Ave.) operated as a fuel/service station in 1935.
Standard Stations Inc. (116 North 6th Ave.) operated as an auto service station in 1935.
DLE Wofford (126 North 6th Ave.) operated as a fuel/service station from 1935 until 1941.
RH Nielsen (142 North 6th Ave.) operated as a service station in 1930.
A gas station (179 East Pennington St.) operated by unidentified owner in 1919.
The Site is currently used as a parking lot. Future uses include redevelopment of the Site as a portion of the Ronstadt Transit Center Joint Development.
