Additional Property Attributes

The property currently serves as the Care Corps Lifehouse Food pantry and thrift store. Previous uses include a Low Income Ministry Center/Pantry, H&H Auto Garage and a stockyard barn. Care Corps would like to remodel and expand the food pantry due to increased demand, as well as congregate waiting and intake areas. No asbestos-containing materials were identified in the building and total mold spore counts were comparable to ambient, outdoor quantities. The Phase I Environmental Site Assessment identified the following recognized conditions: a historical auto service station northeast of the subject property; the former service shop that operated between 1948 and 1956 on the subject property; and Fremont Ice and Fuel Company operated on the property form 1898 to 1946. A Phase II Environmental Site Assessment is recommended to determine if the historic activities have impacted the underlying soil, soil gas, and groundwater. Due to the age of the building, a lead-based paint survey is also recommended.
