The Three Affiliated Tribes Environmental Program is the recipient of a TBA Phase II ESA for the Site through the EPA's Region 8 Brownfields program. In summer 2022, a hazardous materials survey was conducted for 12 properties owned by the Fort Berthold Housing Authority, which plans to demolish and replace the residential units or remodel the units. The Phase II was conducted to evaluate if lead-based paint (LBP), asbestos-containing material (ACM) were present. Additionally, previous notifications have indicated potential methamphetamine use in some of the housing units as well as water damage resulting in mold growth. Asbestos was found units 370 and 371. Meth contamination was found in units 370, 372 and 373.
