Additional Property Attributes

Prior to 1958, the property consisted of undeveloped land. Between 1958 and 1959 the Lewistown Air Force Station was
constructed and manned by the 694th Air Control and Warning (AC&W) Squadron. Construction was
completed in April 1959 and the air force station was operational on February 15, 1960 as an AC&W site.
After the inactivation of the air force station in July 1971, the former cantonment area buildings and
housing areas were used as the campus for the Big Sky Bible College. The Big Sky Bible College was a
private college that used the former air force station cantonment areas and operated during the 1970s and
1980s. The college is now defunct, and the subject property was purchased by the current property owner
(Mr. William Bevis) during a bankruptcy sale in December 2008. Since that time, the subject property has
been, and currently is, used for cold storage purposes. The subject property has been listed for sale by the
current property owner since 2021; however, the subject property owner has considered potentially
redeveloping the property with a water treatment and bottling plant.
