Additional Property Attributes

The property's location; relation to Chester's commercial area; ease of access to East Liverpool, Ohio; use of adjoining land bays; neighboring school property; and scenic views across the Ohio River all support a residential reuse of this property. Addressing environmental conditions under the US EPA Administrative Order on Consent will result in a reduction of environmental threats. The property does not carry any zoning restrictions. Property access will not need to be improved, and the impact to adjoining neighborhoods would be low. None of the property's buildable area lies within the 50-year flood plain. (PPF - TS&T Property, 5/9/06)

Former Use: A former pottery manufacturing facility is located on the property including various abandoned buildings. Because the property is under a US EPA Administrative Consent Order to complete a CERCLA response action, no further action is planned for the property under the EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant.
