Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site consisted of mainly vacant land from the 1800s through the 1930s. In the 1930s and 1940s a commercial building was located on the southeast portion of the site and was used as a sawmill. Salida Auto Salvage Yard began operations in the 1970s and ceased operation by 1999. The current owner, Chris Nachtrieb, purchased the site from Mr. Cliff Heifner and Mr. Frank Stringer in 1983. Mr Heifner and Mr. Stringer reportedly purchased the property from Mr. Charlie Slagger in the early 1970s.
