Additional Property Attributes

The property is anticipated to be purchased by the City of Beatrice for demolition of on-site structures and redevelopment of the site as green space. This effort is part of a city plan to clear developments from properties located within designated flood hard areas and is being conducted in cooperation with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) (PPF - 09/25/2006) Recommend a Pahase II TBA (PPF - Farmers Farmers Union Co-op Supply Company, 9/22/09).

Former Use: The Farmers Union Co-op Supply property has been used for bulk petroleum storage since at least 1971. Prior to ownership by the Farmers Union Co-op, the property was owned by Phillips Petroleum Company, Davis Propance Company, Kee's Manufacturing Company a hardware specialties manufacturer, and the Beatrice Brick Works/Beatrice Building and Paving Brick Company. Except for Phillips Petroleum Company and Dave Propane Company the property was mainly vacant land owned by Kee's and Beatrice Brick Works. Prior to use an industrial/commercial property, the property was occupied with residences.
