The Houston Parks Board proposes to acquire this property to redevelop it into a community park. North The property is bounded to the north by a 150 ft Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) easement and flood control ditch. The Treewater & Kirkwood No. 1 & No. 2 Lift Station is located at 7311 Treewater Drive on the north bank of the flood control ditch. Properties on the north side of the flood control ditch are primarily residential. East The property is bounded to the east by a lift station and a residential neighborhood. South The property is bounded to the south by Ashford Gardens, a residential neighborhood. Vacant property is located south of Ashford Gardens. A Chevron Gas Station/Jack in the Box is located further south, at the intersection of Dairy Ashford Road and Beechnut Street (12680 Beechnut Street). West The property is bounded to the west by Dairy Ashford Road and a residential neighborhood on the west side of Dairy Ashford Road. Property is still under development planning stage. The Brownfields Program will continue to update in regards to the Redevelopment Capacity for the property in the future.

Former Use: Former golf course, under contract to purchase by the Houston Parks Board. According to the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD), the property is currently owned by Great Century Properties LP. The former nine-hole executive golf course is currently not in use. Most Recent Prior: Hackberry Golf Club ~1997 ~2005 Nine hole executive golf course with club house, maintenance shop, and golf cart storage building. First Development: Residential Prior to 1944 Unknown House and property owned by Lula M. Sweeney (12/02/1941 � 08/03/1955). The subject property consists of a former nine-hole executive golf course with approximately five ponds. The subject property is located in a mixed commercial/residential area. The southwest corner of the subject property is improved with a parking lot and four structures: club house, golf cart storage building, maintenance shop, and a pump house. A pipeline easement transects the subject property from northwest to southeast near the center of the property. Adjacent properties are primarily residential.
