Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Village Farms 2 is part of the larger Village Farms property. The property was historically occupied by industrial facilities from the mid 1990s to the late 1980s. The property has been vacant since 2003. Village Farms 2 was formerly occupied by railroad lines and filling stations with three USTs and several miscellaneous fill piles of which the origin is unknown. The site has historically housed industrial facilities that included steel manufacturing from 1910-1980. The site is currently vacant since its concerted use as a hydrophonic tomato manufacturing facility was demolished in 2003. RECs identified as four large quantity ASTs with residual contamination following removal, three large quantity USTs, formerly occupied by railroad lines, and NYSDEC spill no. 0651015. (PPF - Village Farms-2, 9/4/09).
