Additional Property Attributes

The City conducted the Phase I ESA as part of a larger cluster of properties (Cluster #10). Additional sampling on the property would be recommended before initiating any redevelopment activities. The City has no current plans to acquire the property nor have any developers expressed any immediate interest. The City will likely pursue additional sampling activities once a appropriate re-use option is identified.

Former Use: The property contains a single-story commercial building constructed in 1972. The structure has a concrete foundation and contains 1,300 square-feet of space. The property was formerly a gas station listed under different names in the 1981 and 1986 city directories. The facility has been assigned LUST #9LTI91 for a release of gasoline reported on June 30, 2000. The IDNR risk classification has not been assigned. Five tanks were removed from the site on June 24, 1996, including two 6,000-gallon gasoline tanks, two 8,000-gallon gasoline tanks, and one 4,000-gallon kerosene tank.
