Additional Property Attributes

Two soil borings were completed and one soil sample collected from the Range 2 interval. The sample was analyzed for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and total extractable hydrocarbons (TEH); no compounds were detected above laboratory reporting limits. Based on the results of the data collected during the Phase II ESA, no further investigation or remedy of impairment appears warranted for the site at this time. The City acquired the property in October 2017 and demolished the structure for additional parking to serve nearby public facilities including Young Arena and the Cedar Valley Sportsplex.

Former Use: The property contains a single-story commercial structure built in 1960. The concrete block structure has 1,544 square-feet of space. The property contains three concrete block additions including: a 2,222 square-foot building constructed in 1958, a 2,160 square-foot building constructed in 1959, and a 300 square-foot building constructed in 1960.
