Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property was part of the Armour & Company meat packing plant operations from its development in approximately 1918. Specifically, Parcel B contained a portion of a coal storage area, a portion of a maintenance garage, multiple railroad sidings, a large parking surface, and a multiple petroleum storage areas related to maintence garage. Armour closed their operation in 1979, and the larger property (including the subject property) was sold to Kasson Realty. Kasson leased portions of the facitlity to various tenants, primarily for storage. The City of South St. Paul purchased the facility in approximately 1988 and began demolition of the former buildings in approximately 1989.
